The objective of this proposal was to provide a sustainable leisure living community as an extension of the existing settlement of Bicheno on the East Coast of Tasmania.

The proposal is for the creation of a mix of stratum title dwellings and a fully managed resort accommodation and amenities that offer an investment in healthy lifestyles and recreation.

The proposal uses a holistic approach to the conservation, management and utilisation of the natural attributes of the site.

The central approach to the masterplanning of the leisure community was to deliver integration of community, recreational and residential accommodation opportunities within a landscaped coastal setting having a common area as the focal point of activity.
